John Lennon's 70th birthday is set to be marked with a special time capsule ceremony which will see his post-Beatles recordings preserved until 2040. Fans are also being invited to submit birthday wishes, commentary, musical performances and personal thoughts on the late singer's legacy over the next couple of months for The John Lennon Time Capsule project. Seven doctors who treated Michael Jackson in the years before his death will not face criminal charges, US investigators have said. However, one has been referred to California's state medical board for prescribing drugs under an alias. Jackson's personal doctor Conrad Murray, who denies involuntary manslaughter, was not one of those questioned by state investigators. He is accused of giving Jackson a lethal overdose of anaesthetic. Yolanda Be Cool has topped the UK singles chart with We Speak No Americano. It is the first number one for the Australian dance duo - Sylvester Martinez and Johnson Peterson, along with producer D Cup Duncan MacLennan. The song first entered the chart two weeks ago at number five before climbing up the ranks. Dizzee Rascal and the xx will fight it out as favourites to win this year's Mercury prize. From a decidedly indie list, bookmaker William Hill put Dizzee's Tongue N' Cheek and the xx's eponymous debut album at 4/1 to win the prize. Elsewhere there were nominations for Paul Weller's Wake Up the Nation (6/1), Wild Beasts' Two Dancers (8/1) and Corinne Bailey Rae's critically acclaimed second album the Sea (6/1). US singer Pink was taken to hospital during a gig in Germany after an on-stage stunt went wrong. The star fell out of a harness which was supposed to carry her across the crowd, instead being dragged into a barricade. The concert in Nuremberg was halted as the 30-year-old was taken to hospital to be checked over. Two months after undergoing emergency back surgery, Bono is able to sit, stand and "move around a bit", he said yesterday. With just three weeks until U2's next scheduled gig, the U2 frontman made his return to the public eye in a video for the band's website. "Feeling strong, feeling confident," Bono said. "I'm going to be fighting fit." The electronic dance music group - whose hits include Breathe, Firestarter and Voodoo People - topped the survey by GlobalGathering. The dance music festival, now in its tenth year, commissioned the research to find out which artist has shaped the dance music genre the most. The Prodigy have sold more than 20 million records worldwide since 1990. Lady GaGa's snub for the Best New Artist gong at this year's Grammy Awards has forced officials to change to rules of eligibility for future ceremonies.
